New Direction Christian Church (NDCC) is a progressive ministry located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. New Direction was birthed on June 6, 2016 with the mission to transform people lives for the better through the word of God. On Monday, June 6, 2016, Pastor Jarvis A. Ellis held the first church interest meeting at Grace Fellowship Church by the kindness of Pastor Andrew Calhoun. In that initial meeting, there were over 90 people in attendance with 74 of those people joining the ministry that same day. Being of strong faith in God’s Word and having a determination to take God at his word, Pastor Ellis had in mind to birth a church that trusted totally in God.  From this thought came the name of the church, “New Direction Christian Church”, and the church’s theme scripture “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new…” 2 Corinthians 5:17.

On that night, the Holy Spirit touched Pastor Andrew Calhoun’s heart and he agreed to let New Direction share his church by carving out a time slot for Sunday morning worship services and midweek bible study classes. On Sunday, June 12, 2016, New Direction Christian Church had its first worship service at 8:00am in the main sanctuary of Grace Fellowship Church. In that initial worship service, there were over 40 more individuals who united with New Direction Christian Church. Since that initial service, there have been several new ministries, ministry leaders and church staff added to the New Direction Church family.  New Direction has grown tremendously from its initial 74 charter members in June of 2016 to a few hundred members in a matter of months under the leadership of Rev. Jarvis A. Ellis, Senior Pastor. 

Pastor Ellis believes that if a person is to be a successful in anything; healing the sick, establishing a business, in the job market, in the home, or in the ministry; he or she must first seek to please God by trusting in His word. New Direction seeks to bring people together from across all socio-economic levels – from the homeless and released offenders to the up and coming professionals and community leaders to worship together in the different ministries within the church. Whether you're single visiting the Milwaukee area, a young family settling into your first home, a mature adult rooted in Alabama for generations, full of questions and need real answers, lonely, lost, or already a believer, you'll feel welcome at New Direction Christian Church.  At New Direction, we believe that you can’t do life alone.  So let’s get together and become people that learn together… pray together… and do life together!
